March 2014 Update

From what it looks like right now, UNCONDITIONAL, Book 1 of my new series, will hit the stores the first week of April. My second release for the year so far! It's been a busy month, so I've fallen behind on blogging. Only thing I have to report is that I've been doing a lot of writing in between spending time with the Lord and my family, my day job, and my new passion, Zumba!

Anyway, more later! Oh--and a special thanks to all who requested ONE SWEET DAY & congratulations to the winners!

Coming Soon--NEW CHRISTIAN ROMANCE SERIES

Yes, I know ONE SWEET DAY hasn't been out very long, but I'm also very excited to share the news about my new upcoming Christian romance series, JOYFUL NOISE. This 3-book series takes place in a fictional town named Hathaway, which is only a hop, skip & a jump from the real-life town of Wildwood, New Jersey. In each book, one or the other--the hero or heroine--will be a musician. Hence, the name of the series, Joyful Noise, taken from Psalm 100:1!

In Book 1, UNCONDITIONAL, readers will be meeting all of the characters who will "star" in their own book...including lots of minor but important-in-their-own-right characters, too! UNCONDITIONAL will kick off the series in March 2014 and be PERMANENTLY free. I hope to release DISTANT FIRE in May or June, with FOR THE LOVE OF SUMMER being published hopefully no later than August.

So for now, here is the cover release for each of these books! Oh--and don't forget there are only a few days left to sign up to win one of THREE paperback editions of ONE SWEET DAY on Goodreads. Pictorial: A Walk in Winter

It just seemed right, with the weather more agreeable on this Sunday afternoon, to include a pictorial of walking in winter. Of course, that would be a mild North Carolina winter! And that friend who shared the walk with me is my best friend of over thirty years, my husband Bill.

Soundtrack for ONE SWEET DAY

It's that time again! Time when I give the playlist, or as I like to call it, the "soundtrack" for my book, which in this case is my newest release, ONE SWEET DAY. These are all songs that are playing somewhere or characters are listening to them within the story.

Incidentally, there are no less than 3 Christmas songs in this playlist. ONE SWEET DAY isn't a Christmas story, though there is a section during the 40-year span where the reader is visiting with some of the characters for a Montana ranch Christmas, and that's when these songs are played.

The two Paul McCartney & Wings songs are a tribute to my mom. Mami LOVED Paul McCartney & Wings! Both songs also just had the right feel for the section in which they appear.

And "Sweet Beulah Land" was a song I'd never heard before until a friend who'd been very sick mentioned how much she loved it. My friend, Mary Ann, has since gone to be with the Lord. This song appearing in the book is a little tribute to her.
